There are several websites that can connect you with virtual survivor communities, support groups, resources, and encouragement.
This organization is exclusively dedicated to survivors of suicide loss. They have detailed information, regularly updated blogs, a moderated online forum for survivors to support one another, and a memorial wall to honor lost loved ones.
This page has many helpful resources for survivors. Their "Healing Conversations" program can connect you with volunteers who have themselves lost loved ones to suicide and who are willing to help you through your loss and your grief journey. The "Find a Support Group" search tool can connect you with hundreds of virtual support groups. Additionally, there are various self-care guides, stories from other loss survivors, books, and documentaries that provide information and hope.
This site offers virtual support group meetings, a monthly newsletter, a resource library, speakers for workplaces impacted by suicide death, and a Toll-Free Suicide Loss Helpline: 1-800-646-7322.
If the loved one you lost was a member of the armed forces, this site is for you. The Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors is a program for those who have lost a military loved one to suicide. For these families, they can provide a care team, a mentor program, online connections, casework, counseling, education assistance, and more.
The Dougy Center is "an international authority on childhood grief." They focus on helping children through several difficult situations, including the loss of a loved one to suicide. Their site has several helpful resources for children who have lost a loved one, or those who have lost of child. With their community response and support, they may even be able to help you address the loss in your family, community and/or school in an effective and compassionate way.
